Live to eat.

Working at Yventually has many perks and flexibility in working hours is one of the many =) However, ever since my friends graduated, it is so hard to find anyone who can meet me for late lunch or go cafe-hopping with me on a weekday afternoon as most of them are working already. Therefore, i was super thrilled when Irenaeus agreed to join me for lunch at farrer park on a sunny weekday noon!

We headed to L'etoile cafe, 160 Owen Road to grab our late lunch!

An eccentric mix of furniture on their 2nd floor. TOO COOL =D

My favorite project mate =) I'm glad we crossed paths during my final year in Uni because she was one of my batch mates who made my Hons year less of a bitch. haha.

Iced Mocha on a crazy hot afternoon. Bliss.

Flabbergasted to see a GIANT plate of Truffle Fries being served to us. I think this portion is good for sharing among 4 friends! Nicely fried with the strong aroma of truffle oil, what a good start to my lunch =)

Beef Sandwich for I. It was really filling according to I and she suffered from fries overdose by the end of the meal. HAHAHA.

Chicken a la Cordon Bleu for me
In love with their food display and was grateful the dish came with a good portion of greens (carrots, cauliflower, broccoli and potatoes). The combination of the chicken, ham and cheese was just delish! I like how the mayonnaise was made a little spicy so it added flavor to the meal and I won't get sick of the taste so easily =)

One satisfied diner =D

Due to its slightly more secluded location, it is peaceful and quiet on a weekday afternoon - the perfect place to spend your afternoon with a book and yummy food ;) I definitely see myself visiting the cafe in the near future!

Until next time~
