I think my behind-the-scene blog post is getting more and more pathetic as time passes. LOL. Mainly because i no longer ask friends to assist me in my outdoor shoot as i felt it's really unfair to make them stand under the sun with me and my model while they look after my belongings and all so with just me, the noob photog, and my lovely model (G or V) at the site of shoot, it's SOOOO hard to take behind-the-scene shots =(
Nevertheless, here are some pics i managed to snap while waiting for G to be back from her outfit change!
Our shoot for the upcoming KYLA bag was at Marina Bay Sands, starting from the Helix Bridge. I thought it would make me look really "obiang" if i bring my canvas trolley to MBS so i packed everything into a luggage instead. hehehe. I even managed to take the MRT to the site so i dun end up with overpriced Taxi fare (peak hour charge is C-R-A-Z-Y!!)
Wanted to faint when i was there at 9am because the sun was blazing hot that morning. It felt like it was 12pm pls?! We were simply BAKING under the hot sun.
Evidences:
Not only do we have to keep looking for sheltered areas for better lighting, many pictures still ended up overexposed like those above =( Nothing much we can do but thankfully I still managed to pick out enough pics for the launch!! ;) Always always thankful for understanding models who brave through the heat with me without any complaints =*)
Will post them on our FB page by this weekend ok!! =)
In the meantime, here's the 4 colors available for KYLA!!
The front and the back of the bag is IDENTICAL! Which means, there are pockets on both sides of the bag (secured by a magnetic closure)! =) Perfect for those who love to compartmentalize their stuff!
Only the BLACK one comes with the suede portion =) I realize a plain black bag made entirely of faux leather is going to be boring, don't you think? Some customers asked why the other 3 bags did not come in suede, well, this is because it is extremely hard to find colored suede material that will match its faux leather perfectly so i don't want to risk having (for example) a cream bag with an ugly khaki/brown suede portion! Besides, for customers who think suede is too high-maintenance, they can always opt for the Navy one - a color that is rich and yet versatile like the black version ;)
Pricing-wise, it will cost S$38, excluding postage.
I'm sure many of you who own at least a piece of Yventually's self-manufactured bags will know that we do not skimp on quality when it comes to these bags. I aspire these bags' quality to match up to those you find in retail stores such as C&K, hence the slightly higher pricing for self-manufactured items. I quote G when she first saw and touched this KYLA bag during the shoot "wah, the quality is good!!" LOL.
As for myself, i kept the Black Kyla! It now sits nicely next to my Persian Orange & Mustard Alexis, Cream & Rose Pink Tiffany clutch, Burnt Orange Julia satchel and Cream Renee satchel! =P
Have not decided on the day of launch because my Lab boss dropped a bomb on me yesterday and requested i go into the lab on a day i set aside to do up the launch & conduct an afternoon shoot. sigh. Will confirm the date soon and hopefully get the FB page promo i had in mind done up before Monday yupyup!!
In the meantime, G and i did a short video clip on this upcoming product!! It's an amateur attempt (i still got loadssss to improve on) so do give us your feedback through our FB page, my formspring (see right sidebar) or email me directly at yventually.sales@hotmail.com!
