Paris, France - Day Three

Back from my work trip with a slight fever and 2 huge bruises because humptydumpty (me) had a great fall =( Nevertheless, can't wait for the bags and shoes to arrive in Singapore!!

So onwards to Day 3 of Paris!

Travelled to Saint Michel for the Sandemans Free Walking Tour. Turnout that day was hugeeeee but thank gdness they separated us into smaller groups to make travelling around Paris easier/

Do not underestimate this normal looking bridge. It smelled sooooo bad when we were made to walk underneath it because it appears to be a famous pee-ing spot for Parisians, kids and adults alike. EEEEW.

The very animated tour guide - Adam

Love Bridge, filled with love locks =)

Parisians love their dogs, but don't love cleaning after them. haha.

Whole trip ended at a restaurant Sandemans has a collaboration with so we get to enjoy a Parisian meal, coupled with a free drink for just 11Euros!

TheBF's Duck Confit with white wine

My Roasted Chicken

We decided to walk all the way to Arc de Triomphe / Champs Elysees, passing by Eiffel Tower which, of course, gave me some opportunity to camwhore again. hehehe.

Cue song: ooooh, champs elysees~~

Giant Sephora store!!

LV Flagship store =)

Entering the garden that led to the main entrance of Abercrombie & Fitch. Hello, how can those half-naked men be SOOOOO HOT?! I was just ogling at pretty faces and ignoring all the clothes inside. AHHAHA.

Finally found an outlet of Pierre Herme. YUMMYLICIOUS MACARONS, HERE I COME ;)

After tasting one, i finally understood why people say Pierre Herme has the best macarons in the whole wide world. They were simply divineeeee.

And then it was on to Paul bakery for their famous strawberry tart!

We reached Arc de Triomphe in the evening and was shocked to see a ceremony going on, with marching bands and whatnot. Since we were there a day after the French elected their new president, many tourists thought we would get a glimpse of Francois Hollande but clarification with the police revealed that it's actually a daily ceremony held at this place of interest, nothing to do with the election. lol.

Made theBF navigate the way to Rue Cambon, the place where Chanel began =)

Too bad the shop was closed by the end we reached, that's the problem with Paris, boutiques close wayyyy too early. boo.

Hopped onto the metro and off we went to Notre Dame!

We wanted to see the night lights of the Eiffel Tower so badly but the day in Paris is really long so we had to  wait till the sky's dark enough before travelling to Trocadero metro station for a good view of the tower.

When we got there, the view is simply breath-taking =) Too bad the place's filled with too many tourists like us so it wasn't as romantic as i've envisioned it to be. haha.

Just before we decided to leave, something magical happened!!

A glittering Eiffel Tower!! Awwwww, how pretty! =*) Everyone was gasping with excitement when it started glittering all of the sudden!!

Ending the awesome day with the pastries we bought from Paul.

Strawberry Tart & Chocolate Eclair. YUMS.

Until next time!
