Living in Montmartre area means we were actually within walking distance away from Sacré-Cœur Basilica, so that's how we spent the morning of our very last day in Paris!
I groan everytime i see these...
The Catholic church, right on top of the hill
TheBF and i took some time arguing if this is a real man or simply a statue. What do you think? =/
Passing by the busy streets of Montmartre as we made our way to the nearest Metro station. So many artists gathered here to sell their art pieces it's unbelievable =)
Since it was last day in France, it's time to hit the departmental stores!!
First stop - Galeries LaFayette
Just looking at the exquisite architectural designs already made the trip there worthwhile ;)
There are many places that give you a good view of Paris, and Galeries Lafayette's rooftop is one of them.
Printemps!
I came to Paris with only one thing on my shopping list (im a poor poor student. boo) - a pair of Repetto so i was utterly disappointed when both LF and Printemps no longer stock my shoe size =( Oh what bad luck!
Since we still had a long day left, theBF and i decided to catch a movie in Paris!! =D Such a new experience because basically no seats were assigned beforehand so after you buy your tickets, it's a first-come-first-sit kinda thing!
The empty theatre because....we were too kiasu early. HAHA.
My original plan was to bring theBF to a widely-raved French restaurant Chez Toinette in Montmartre but to my horror, they were closed for the day =( So upon Plug-Inn's staff recommendation, we walked over to Le Relais Gascon, a french place that is quite famous for their giant salads.
Our entrees were Escargots (with buttery herb sauce) and French Onion Soup (THE BOMB!!!)
I ordered Duck Confit and it came covered with yummy fried potato slices and boiled french beans! It was awesommmmmeeeeee. =)
TheBF's Chicken Scallop with Cream
And ending off the night with a wide smile from theBF. haha.
Can't believe i finished blogging about Paris! =( So miss Europe right now. oh wells. Maybe i'll be back in Europe in September, we'll see we'll see.
Until next time!!
