Day 4 in Sweden was well-spent in the town theBF is currently residing for his exchange programe - Linköping! It's a really small city, totally different from the busy city of Stockholm so i can easily summarise my stay here in a single blog entry since we didn't do much.
Wore my LRH floral bustier for the very first time since i got it! Love the flattering cut and thank gdness it's not too short so my ever-growing tummy was well-hidden. hahaha.
And yes, that's my new Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in Navy i got from Shopbop.com after using a 20% discount code provided by bagaholicboy he posted on his twitter. Don't ask me why the sudden urge to splurge on this item because it involves a lethal combination of too much studying in one night, getting the item on pure impulse, confirming the order without looking at the right currency and clicking "ORDER NOW" -_-''
Student residential area
Walking all the way to Gamla Linkoping (Old Linkoping) because theBF couldn't get another bicycle for me. Weather's beautiful and sunny so i didn't mind a bit! Sweden's weather has been freeeeezing cold since i got there so i started appreciating sunlight after a while. haha.
Gamla Linkoping
Just a small part of the town with pretty cottages but erm, that's about it. hahaha.
Random kebab shop for lunch!
Fanta lemon!! A good mix of lemonade and soda water?
Gigantic kebab with overflowing meat. nomnomnom.
Doing our fave activity in Linkoping - Grocery shopping. hahaha.
Dinner for the first night was home-cooked Thai Green Curry =) Huge doses of broccoli, mushrooms and chicken fillet made my night! This also kickstart our journey of home-cooked food adventures for the next few nights in Linkoping. hehehe.
Best after-dinner drink - Cider! My new-found favorite alcoholic drink (apart from beer that is).

The next day, we embarked on our journey to....
IKEA!!!
How can you visit Sweden without popping by this famous furniture shop right?!
Fun fact of the day: 1 in 10 Europeans is conceived on an Ikea bed ;)
Brunch of the day included 12 out-of-this-world-blow-your-mind-away-yummylicious meatballs (i know, i exaggerated. keke), mashed potatoes, a warm cup of Swedish coffee and a small chocolate mousse as dessert.
Im a happy girl!
Snack counter selling the famous Ikea hotdog buns, which we had to get our hands on.
Linked to Ikea was this small shopping mall with Swedish brands like H&M, Lindex and BikBok.
We were more interested in shopping at Maxi, their giant supermarket nearby though. hahahaha.
Self-payment devices.
Dinner for the night - Bak Kut Teh with noodles =)
-----
Next morning saw me frying eggs and sauages for breakfast (under the strict supervision of theBF)
Soooo proud of myself. HAHA. I know right, such a failure when it comes to cooking because my mum's such an excellent cook so i never use to worry about it. haha.
Then a short bus ride to Linkoping City Center.
Walked past the cathedral...
And ending our afternoon "fika-ing" at a random cafe with Kanelbullar (cinnamon roll) and cappuccinno!
"Fika" is Swedish for "Coffee break" ;)
Lastly, yet another food adventure - Aglio Olio with Marinated Pork chop. PERRRRFECTO. Credits to theBF, aka Chef Tan. hehehe.
And that's it for my short stay in Linkoping as we travelled to Paris the very next morning via RyanAir!
-----
Sweden is not really the most common place Asians travel to (you know it just by the fact that SIA refuses to fly there) but i have to say, it's a really really nice place to be in. People are so friendly, roads/pathways are clean (total opposite of Paris. lol), transport systems are efficient, there is simply no language barrier because they speak fluent English and last but not least, soooo many eye candies to ogle at on a daily basis. HAHAHA. i now understand why some polls say Stockholm people are the most attractive people in the world. Hence, if there is ever a chance you can drop by Stockholm as part of your Europe trip, i say grab the chance and embrace the Swedish culture because, it's worth every moment of it =)
Paris post soon!
Until next time!
