Ohaiyo~~

Having read so many positive reviews on this Japanese buffet restaurant, my family and i decided it's time to satisfy our curiosity by making a reservation at Irodori, Riverview Hotel for dinner one fine evening!
I read online that you have to be "kiasu" and make reservations early so kiasu me called 2 weeks in advance. LOL. I don't want to end up at the counter seats!! =P

Ala-carte buffet style. SO MANY CHOICES =D

We were really lucky as we got ourselves a 4-seater table in one of their private rooms so we were away from the crowd. Although the restaurant looked relatively empty in my picture below, the place filled up really quickly by the time it was 7.30pm!

Bro in his own world while waiting for our food to arrive...

Mix Sashimi for my bro and dad. My dad said the Yellow Tail sashimi was fresh and delicious! I can't take raw food so I can't comment on that but given how many slices of salmon the other table ordered while we were there, i suppose they must be really good! haha.

Mix tempura

Enoki Shitake Butter Yaki from the teppanyaki section. Oh, do order their Beef/Pork Shogayaki too!!

Saba Shioyaki (Mackerel)

In between our dishes, the complimentary dishes were being served. One of them being the Mentaiko Grilled Prawns. Oh gosh, this is so yummy but why did they make it complimentary T.T I can easily eat 10 of this!! The prawns were fresh and the addition of the fish roe was the icing on the cake.

Boiled Fish Head was the other complimentary dish that was served. The meat by the fish skull was surprisingly tender!

Bacon Enoki Mushrooms

Spider Maki!! Love my soft shell crab handroll! =D

Grilled Pike fish (which was way BETTER than the saba fish)

Tea Pot Soup. We totally "copied" what the next table ordered for this one. haha. We saw that it came with an adorable tea pot so my dad said "ok, we try also". HAHA.

Grilled Shishamo~

We actually ordered more than they are shown above but it got to a point whereby i was so hungry i couldn't be bothered to take pics. HAHA. #bloggerfail. The quality of the food at Irodori was above average in my opinion as most of the dishes we ordered were pretty decent. One thing commendable would be their service. The food took some time to arrive after each round of ordering but the staff there were efficient and friendly so it made the wait less torturous too. Will definitely want to go back for more! ;)

Until next time guys~
