Hola Amigo!

After a failed attempt to try Mexican cuisine the previous time, my girlfriends and I planned another gathering in town, determined to eat our tacos!

This time round, we decided on another Mexican eatery outlet - Baja Fresh Mexican-Grill restaurant at Hotel Rendezvous due to its accessible location!

Relatively empty at 6pm but the place was packed by 7.30pm that Friday night!

Chips and Salsa as our sides! The refillable salsa sauces are actually available at the self-serve counters so you can choose the spiciness level of each sauce. If you are going in a small group, don't bother ordering the chips because a complimentary small bowl of chips is actually given to each order. We didn't know about this beforehand and ended up with 4 small bowls of chips on top of this basket of chips -__-"

Tacos Platter for me
I picked the Original Baja Tacos with Chicken that comes with rice and pinto beans. The chicken breast meat was a little tough but the meat was well-marinated and i love the crispy tacos! I couldn't finish everything because it was so filling and the portions of the beans and rice were quite generous!

Ultimo Burrito
When the item was served, everyone on the table went "WAH, SO BIG AH?" hahaha. Inside this flour tortilla was grilled veggies, baja rice, sour cream, Jack&cheddar cheese and fire-grilled chicken meat. You can also "upgrade" your burrito to "Enchilado style", which explains why her burrito was covered with red Chile sauce and melted cheese with additional sour cream and pico de gallo by the side. Thumbs up for this dish!

Chicken Quesadilla
Grilled flour tortilla filled with chicken meat and Jack cheese! It also comes with guacamole (avocado-based sauce), sour cream and pico de gallo.

This casual dining restaurant also serves beers and some other alcoholic drinks so we had margaritas that night! Not the best i have drank but it did make my dinner more complete! hehehe. They had some margarita special going on if you are keen ;) S$5 for 2nd cup of margarita (same goes for beer i believe)

So if you are looking for affordable Mexican cuisine in town (it's next to The Cathay), i think Baja Fresh would be a good choice since i actually think Chili's is really overpriced =)

Adiós Amigo!
Until next time~
