Let's go Italian

Thank you all for the overwhelming responses for the Alexis bags =D I finally found some time to blog about my dinner at this Italian place we found at one corner of Ion Orchard!

Since the birthday girl WQ requested for Italian cuisine, we found this restaurant while walking around Ion - Al Fresco Gusto

Me and my new bag =D Coming soon on Yventually!!

Wendy came with goodies for us!! She made cake pops!!
This is not the first time she made cakes/pastries for us. In fact, we have had homemade cakes for several of our birthday celebrations and they tasted aweeeeesome. She takes baking lessons (like really serious ones) and have been taking orders from her friends and colleagues since.
Check out her blog for more of her creations: http://indulgesweetsloves.wordpress.com/

Everyone busy taking pictures of the adorable cake pops! hehehe.

Ms Baker and her Hello Kitty cake pop =)

While everyone was fighting for the Hello Kitty one, i happily picked this multi-colored cake pop since the former is really not my kind of thing =/

Banana cake!!!

Ordered the Gnocchi since i have never tried this type of pasta before. The white wine and cream sauce was creamy and rich and blended in so well with the sausages and mushrooms! As for the gnocchi, it tasted weird =/ hahaha. I bet i'll love this dish more if i was given penne or spaghetti or just some usual pasta type.

Funghi Penne
Tossed in truffle oil sauce, we all thought the Chefs aced the sauce. The pasta, though, was a little hard and undercooked.

Carbonara
Linguine and bacon bits cooked in extremely thick and creamy sauce, topped with an egg yolk. Stole a few mouthfuls from my friends and it was quite enjoyable =)

Birthday girl with her birthday cupcake(s)!

Before we left the restaurant, it was close to 9.45pm so guess what we did?

Checking TOTO results. WAHAHAHHA. It was that 10Million toto week and i only buy toto once a year so don't judge. Besides, i wasn't the only one. HAHAHA.

My (losing) combination. keke.

Ending off with the OOTD of that day
