Anticipating 2013

Been trying to make time to meet various groups of friends amidst my crazy lab-moving schedule to celebrate Xmas and my birthday. Can't believe 2012 is almost over just like that?!?! It has not been a really smooth year for me so i'm actually really looking forward to a whole new year =)

Meetup with the Uni gang

Sam finally came back from his overseas CIP trip so we met up over dinner at Breeks. However, the food there is just.....blah =/ So no pics of food!

The lame handshake that Sam insisted when he passed me my bday gift. lol.

Me happy with my Tangs gift card and him happy with his Xmas goodie bag from me! hahaha.

Xmas exchange with L4

My annual gift-exchange with the girls during the Xmas period =) We wanted to do a "restaurant-hop" at Raffles Place but the plans to go 1-Altitude bar was scrapped after we were told all tables were reserved by the time we reached. And that was 7.30pm?! Crazy or what?

Dinner at this ramen joint along North Canal Road - Baikohken, highly raved by Twin and her bf.

What a GIANT bowl of ramen. Oh, this is known as their "half size ramen". I wonder how the regular size looks like =/

Miso Ramen, with additional egg.
Unless you really like charsiew, it is not necessary to order the Miso Ramen with Char Siew since the meat slices provided is more than sufficient =)

Tons of beansprouts inside this bowl of goodness. Not to mention the huge bamboo shoots!

Ending dinner with home-made macarons by the very talented YL. Her first attempt baking these goodies but they tasted SOOOOO good. They reminded me of the ones i had at Laduree and Pierre Hermes in Paris. Yes, that delicious!!

Trained to Outram Park as Twin suggested going to this "secret" bar she found during Xmas eve.

A book-store? Tell the receptionist the password and she will lead you into the bar.

One minute i was standing at a bookshop-looking store and the next, im sitting at the bar-top inside this quirky bar. Very "Harry Potter" in my opinion. haha.

Drinks we ordered that night.

My "Top Secret" cocktail came with a note....

with the lamest pick-up line. HAHAHA.

Gifts for exchange =)

My gifts for the night!! Why the sushi sticky notes so cute de?! hahaha.

Until next time~
