Oriole Cafe

My second trip to Oriole Cafe (Pan Pacific services suites, right opp Brotzeit at 313@Somerset), with my previous trip being 2 years ago!

To be honest, i was not really excited about this place as their main courses didn't impress me the other round. However, Wendy was gushing about how delicious their desserts were so off I went again with my sec school girls as part of SY's farewell lunch before my dear friend leaves for the UK.

They had a Sunday Brunch menu!! =) Scanned through the menu and decided on the Huevos Rancheros dish just because i have never tasted Mexican food before. hehe.

Huevos Rancheros
Perfect for those who prefer strong-flavored food. The mexican salsa sauce blended in so well with my grilled tortillas and sausage. I LIKE!! The portion's just right for me since it allowed me to indulge in the range of desserts we ordered as well ;)

Fish&Chips for Laura

Jamaican Jerk Chicken (what a name, i know right? haha) for WQ and QK that gotten pretty good feedbacks as well!

And now for desserts!!

Honey Crumble Affogato
I was afraid it would be overly sweet given its generous portion of honeycomb crunch but the bitter shot of espresso balanced it all. No wonder Wendy loves this so much! =P

My personal favorite of all desserts we ordered had to be this Sticky Pudding with ice cream!! Not suitable for non-alcohol lovers because its rum taste is really strong but I LOVE IT!! *thumbs up*

Random coffee art on QK's cappucino

Apple Strudel, served with warm vanilla sauce.
The strudel tasted really yummy, especially with the addition of the vanilla sauce but both SY and i agreed they need to improve on the outlook of the dish. It does look like....ok, i will leave it up to your imagination. LOL.

Super talented Wendy made SY a collage of us on our behalf as her farewell gift =)

No closeup of the pics because i look like crap in 2 of the older photographs she used!!!! =/

Obligatory group photo!!

And lastly, me and my friend since primary 1. Yes, PRIMARY ONE. Amazing how we went on to the same secondary school and in a few years' time she's going to be Dr Chng. haha. Best wishes for you, my dear friend. Do us proud =*)

Until next time~~
