Behind-the-Scene/Inspiration - Lauren Colorblock Clutch

Back with a behind-the-scene/inspiration post for Yventually! =)

If you haven't seen our preview album (whyyyy haven't you?!), don't worry, here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.336075136487877.76832.129157470512979&type=1 hehehe

The location for our shoot this time round is a place im sure everyone's familiar with - Ion Orchard! I saw a set of fashion photoshoot pictures of this place on a magazine some time ago and thought the models looked so pretty against Ion as the backdrop of the pic =)
To prevent weird onlookers and people photo-bombing our shoot, we had to do it at 9am (think: yawns). Thank gdness G's still as pretty as ever in the early morning! hehehe.

The 4 color combinations I picked:

White n Black - Most classic colorblock combination. Need i say more? ;)

Purple n White - Such a funky combination. I was a little worried how the end product will look because i don't usually pick unique colors for my self-manufactured items but this is a surprise. A PLEASANT one in fact. G totally rocked this combi!!

Mustard n HoneyBrown - My supplier suggested this combination to me (Im not a fan of brown bags to be honest) and what can i say? She's a genius! Loving how the 2 color tones matches harmoniously with each other!!

SuedeCobaltBlue n Black - I have a penchant for anything suede. With Fall around the corner, it gives me MORE reason to pick from a suede color palette. Besides, using such a rich color like cobalt blue, the suede material makes it look more expensive and chic. Oui?

I got my inspiration from Balenciaga's RESORT 2013 collection. Yes, RESORT is the magic word here. I know im a little "kiasu" to be sending in my design even before Fall starts but hey, better early than late? haha.

I wanted to add something different to the bag and with gorgeous clutches from Valentino and DVF appearing online with this slip-through design, i thought it would be perfect to make this Yventually clutch duo-sided with a similar feature!

And ta-dah!!! Our slip-through design, complete with rose-gold studs, once again, my ingenious supplier's idea. hehehe.

Alongside this clutch, we also brought in some other bag designs for this upcoming launch ;)

JULS Studded polyester bag that comes with a adjustable clip at the bottom of the bag to interchange between 2 shapes!

Without clipping:

When clipped:

MONIQUE Zip-up satchel that comes with free pouch!!

Are you excited yet??!?!?!?! =P

Don't forget to place your order on MON (1 Oct) at 8pm

On another note, some customers have been asking me how they should match the Orange Soleil bag with their outfits because "Orange" seems like such a weird color! Hence, i decided to post up several pics of me with this bag on my instagram (@yvonnekt) for the past few days!

Honestly, this bag is more of a "burnt orange" than "bright, hard-to-match, crazy orange"!! haha. Due to its warm brown undertones, it makes matching so much easier!!
