Hong Kong - Day Four

Really excited about this entry because it features my FAVOURITE eatery for breakfast in Hong Kong!!!

Located within walking distance from Jordon MTR station (C2 exit)...

It's 澳洲牛奶公司 (Australia Dairy Company)!!
They are extremely well-known for their steamed egg white with milk pudding and scrambled egg with toast!

Yes, that's a Q you see outside the shop! However, i must say it moves really fast so no complaints there ;)

蛋白炖鲜牛奶 (Steamed egg white with milk pudding)
We 3 were pretty skeptical about this dish as we are not milk lovers but it actually turned out pretty smooth and yummy despite its strong milk and egg taste. Go for the hot one if you are afraid the taste might be too overwhelming. I heard this is really good for your skin so eat more, ladies!! haha.

火腿通粉 (Macaroni soup with ham)
We ordered this because you just have to eat macaroni once in HK, am i not right? haha. It was just average though.

Milk Tea
Now, this is AWESOME =) One of the best milk tea i've had so far (Cha Yen, aka Thai iced milk tea not included) because the tea flavor was strong and the drink was not too milky. *Thumbs up!

炒蛋多士 (Scrambled Egg with Toast)
THE BOMB!! The combination of the perfectly coagulated texture of the egg and slightly toasted bread is just...heavenly =) Looking at this pic makes me crave for it already!!

Oh, and i saw a HK artiste 陈百祥 at the eatery buying takeouts!
This is Natalis Chan:
hahaha. i know. Such an old HK artiste. You should have seen how excited i was spotting his purple hair! Cheap thrill indeed. hehehe.

After the extremely satisfied breakfast, it's off to take the peak tram to The Peak!

The greatest attraction at The Peak is the Madame Tussauds wax museum. This is my 2nd visit to this place but still pleasantly surprised they added new wax figurines, mostly Asian artistes though!

HE IS MINE. thanks. hahaha.

For all you Twilight fans!!

You can see more wax figurines if you want HERE when i first blogged about it during my HK trip 2 years ago.

I personally think the night view of Hong Kong at The Peak is prettier than the day view so we didn't want to spend money on the Sky Terrace 428 observatory platform at The Peak Tower. Instead, we found this shopping mall that has its own observation deck!

PUG ALERT! =D

We were famished (that is an understatement) by the time we took the Peak Tram and then MTR back to Sheung Wan MTR station so we settled for the restaurant nearest to us -
大家乐 Cafe De Coral
This is yet another franchise chain selling local cuisine but to be honest, their food is quite blah. Unless you are really hungry and desperate for food, find a 翠华餐厅 near you instead.

A place filled with ah peks. lol.

I've had better meals!!! Enough said.

As i was reading Stephanie's blog the next before on her HK entry, i psycho-ed my friends in search for the preserved lemon cart at Lemon King @ 永吉街 (Wing Kut Street) nearby. Thanks to Mr iPad, we found the street with much ease.

Found it found it!!! =) While i was busy snapping this pic of the stall, my friends have already ended up with 4-5 packs of the preserved lemons -_____-"

I bought 2 packs home for all my aunties and uncles and they all loved it! =) Should have gotten more because they can be soooo addictive! They come in well-sealed packets so i believe it's one of those must-get snacks!

Spent the rest of the late afternoon roaming around Central and the biggest H&M in the country =)

Headed to Lan Kwai Fong, a famous nightspot district. Well, we were there at 6pm? So the place's still quite quiet because everyone's out having proper dinner before the partying starts. haha. Since our alcoholic Twin (ops, pretend you never see this ok Twin? =P) was not with us, we didn't stay put for long too.

Taking the Central-Mid-Levels escalators to our dinner destination at SoHo. THIS PLACE WAS WHERE RUNNING MAN WAS FILMED TOO!! *excited*

We settled for some British cuisine at Yorkshire Pudding (6 Staunton Street, SoHo, Central)

Mini Yorkshire Pudding with beef gravy

Initially we ordered 3 servings of Fish&Chips but due to some miscommunication, only one came and THANK GOODNESS only one came because the portion's huge!
Delish food for the tired souls =)

Desserts that night near our hotel at 海天堂 Hoi Tin Tong outlet!

珍珠龟苓膏 Pearl Herbal Jelly

芝麻糊 Sesame Paste

That's all for today!

Until next time~
