Nom Nom Nom

I finally understood how i gained 2 kg, back to my usual weight, in the span of 2-3 months when i was at my all-time low early this year --> eating too much good food, all in the name of "celebrating Hons thesis submission" -__-" hahaha.

Anyway, i am back to my gym regime (let's see how long i last coz im flying off in 2 weeks) so let's hope i can lose some weight before my Europe trip!! =)

Ok, back to the actual topic of this entry - FOOD!!

Celebrated Jie's birthday recently at Paragon's Daikokuya (Basement 1) ramen restaurant!

They serve 4 main ramen types - Sapporo, Tokyo, Kyushu Tonkotsu and Kyushu Kogashi, from which you can pick if you want the spicy ramen version/seafood version etc etc.

Lee's Sapporo Miso ramen

Jie and i both ordered Tonkotsu Cha Shu Ramen

Check out the black fungus in my soup! =) But the best part of the noodles is....the sliced cha shu!! The right amount of meat and fats made them wayyy too sinful but wayyyy too yummy as well! =D One thing i didn't enjoy was the thin straight ramen noodle type they used. Apparently, Lee's Sapporo ramen made use of the curly, springy type which was more to my liking.

Their gyoza was widely raved by online food reviewers so we ordered one set of the Mentaimayo Gyoza as well! Together with the salted cod roe and mayo, it tasted really good!! Must-try in my opinion ;)

After dinner, i brought them to Arteastiq, Mandarin Gallery for tea!! My 2nd time there actually and i got to say they have got such pretty deco and lovely tea, i couldn't help but make a second trip =D

They had a wide range of tea (hot/cold/alcoholic/with gelato ice cream on top) and i would suggest avoiding their coffee-based drinks because i had an ice-blended Irish cream-coffee the previous time and it was blahhhhhh.

French Rose Tea
So pretty to look at, so soothing to the throat. *THUMBS UP*

Earl Grey with Lavender tea
It has a strong lavender taste so i guess whether one likes it is going to be subjective =) However, i personally find it has a calming effect, which i love.

Lee and his iced sour plum tea (in a goldfish tank. HAHAHA)
Nothing special but it's a safe choice for non-tea-fanatics i guess?

Every tea set comes with 2 sugar cubes/syrup (since their tea is not sugared) and small biscuits/mochi!

Peanut flavored, chocolate-coated mochi!! ME LIKE!

My tea buddies for the night =)

Happy Birthday once again, jie!! =D

Until next time~
