Celebrated the submission of my Hons thesis some time back with my pals on a good Saturday afternoon. It's been so long (like reallllly long) since i could go out to town on a weekend without feeling guilty that i have a half-done thesis at home, waiting for completion =P haha.
Suppose to go out drinking (perfect scenerio would be me and my fountain of beer) but everyone had other plans for the night so we ended up having high-tea at this cafe twin recommended!
Tea Cosy, Plaza Singapore
It's a really small cafe packed with white angel sculptures and vintage furniture. How English =)
The Tai-tai-wanabes (Us) and our Supreme High Tea Set ;)
We were 30 minutes early for the High Tea and although the waitress very nicely told us they are willing to serve us as early as 2.15pm if we are hungry, we each ordered a soup to fill our growling tummies because everyone was wayyy too hungry. haha.
My Tangy Tomato and Crabmeat Soup. Tasted mediocre though.
Floral tea sets totally set us in the mood for high tea =D
Scones' surprisingly good in texture. I was so scared they would be hard as hell but nope, PERFECT scones i would say.
I had the non-seafood high tea set that comes with foie gras taster (the one in the spoon), baked mushrooms , crostinis and bruschetta! They each looked so puny but after savoring them all, they were actually pretty filling!
20 bucks might be slightly pricey for a high tea set at a less well-known restaurant like this, but given the ambiance and good service, I was one happy girl that day ;)
Alrighty, that's all for this short entry. Looking forward to dinner and tea with jie for her birthday tomorrow and if food's good (and i have time), i will blog about them soon alrighty!
Until next time~
