Most of 2nd day in Hongkong was actually spent in MACAU! =) Woke up early in the morning for the ferry at China Ferry Terminal and off we went~
The ferry had pretty comfy seats and a clean environment, which really took me by surprise, judging from the conditions of the ferry terminal itself (h.o.r.r.i.b.l.e) . haha.
Since it was an hr ride to Macau, theBF and i napped all the way, in the most unglam sleeping positions (we know that coz jie was saying the staff on the ferry kept looking at us and giggled -__-")
And..HELLO MACAUUUUUUUU!
First stop, the streets leading to the Ruins of St Paul. i love the portugese feel of the buildings, with their vibrant colors and unique architecture!
On our way, we bot the (supposedly) famous Zhu Pa Bao (Pork bun) from the street stores and tried their bubble milk tea!!! =)
But as we walked down the street, we realised EVERY zhu pa bao store claimed to be the renowned one. HAHAHAHAH. kena cheated!! =
It was a damn hot afternoon that day, but look at the number of people heading to the Ruins!!!
Braved the heat and walked all the way uphill, just so we can take more pics!
Bot another Zhu Pa Bao from yet another store down the streets!! hee.
Then, it was time to visit the CASINO!!!! We chose Grand Lisboa (there are SO many to choose from!!) because Lee said it is the closest to the traditional Macau-style casino and look at its architecture!! DAMN GRAND LAAAAAAA.
No photography was allowed inside the casino but it was pretty grand on the inside too! With the big giant crystal balls and all. Did try our luck at the slots machines and all but let's just say, i've nvr had much luck in gambling (ANY form of gambling. in fact. haha) And, so did theBF =P hahahaa.
Our last stop in Macau was the Macau Tower, easily accessible by their public bus! It's 61 STOREY TALL and overlooks the whole of Macau + HK!!
Looking dwn from the 58th storey...
And in case u are wondering why Doggy's butt happened to be right on top of Grand Lisboa in the pic below..well, theBF wasn't very happy that he lost money in the casino..so this is his way of venting his frustrations. HAHAHAHA.
Until a while later...we realised, there REALLY were "falling people"!!! look:
Ahhhhhh. Everyone at the observatory deck were simply sceaming as we see several bungee jumpers dived straight down from the 61st storey alllllllll the way dwn to the ground =X A very very interesting sight indeed!! haha.
It was a long ride back to HK island in the evening because everyone was tired but this cheered us up:
EXTREMELY YUMMY MANGO SMOOTHIE WITH SAGO from XU LIU SHAN!!! =D So thick, so yummy and im craving for them now in Singapore!! =(
Ok, that wraps up my 2nd day in HK/Macau!! Next post will be abt Ocean Park & even Disney!! wheee. until then, take care!!
