After 5 days of rushing about in and out of Seoul, we decided day six of our Korea trip shall be a more relaxing one ;) Hence, all of us had a long good sleep and woke up just in time for lunch at...
The famous GINSENG CHICKEN restaurant near Gyeongbukgong subway station :D
The restaurant was packed when we reached. Thankfully, food came shortly after we were seated =)
Just looking at the pictures now makes me hungryyyyyy.
Who can resist the glutinous rice stuffed inside the chicken? Mmmm...Mmmmm.
Carrying our big tummies out of the restaurant, we headed to ChungBu Market as YL promised her mum to bring home some dried goods from this traditional Korean market.
Apparently, the ikan bilis and dried shrimps from Korea tasted better than those found in Singapore but erm, for someone who can't even fry an egg, i see no difference. hahaha.
Boxes and boxes of ikan bilis for YL and Twin to choose from while CL and I looked around, hoping we'll did find some snacks we can munch on as the future perfect-daughter-in-laws pick their "goods" hehehe.
Next stop, it was Namdaemun to get the seaweed we promised our friends and families back home ;)
Crab stick wrapped with a layer of fish cake from the roadside stall!! =)
We bought a crazy amount of seaweed and seaweed chocolates (yes, seaweed choco!!) so we had to drop our stuff off at our hostel before we could head for dinner.
That's me, with the insane amount of seaweed we bought =P
Dinner time!! =) We went to this BBQ outlet that YL found online since it was situated within Sinchon itself where we stayed.
Samgyeopsal BBQ Restaurant
What is special about this restaurant is the way they present their marinated pork slices. Set dinner for one consisted of 8 slices of pork marinated in 8 different ways, from ginseng to pine-needle to curry! My fave has got to be pine-needle and wine ;)
Koreans love their alcohol, and so do we. HAHA.
Rice wine + BBQ = HEAVEN. hehehe.
Alrighty, that's all for now!
Magic - Secret
P.S. Im running out of Kpop songs to post. LOL.
