We started Day Five of our Korea trip with brunch at Korea's very own version of MacDonald's - Lotteria
YL and CL recommended their shrimp burger but Twin and i decided to stick to good ol' beef burgers instead ;)
Check out my S$5 hearts stockings i got from a random store in Seoul =) I was actually wearing 2 layers of stockings, nude stocking on the inside, with my new semi-opaque black hearts stocking on the outside. Yea, i was THAT afraid of the cold wind we had to "battle" everyday. haha.
Making our way to...
NAMI ISLAND~!
The place where Winter Sonata was shot and one of the most popular tourist spots in Korea.
Taking a short ferry ride to the island...
I was really excited about this day trip to Nami island because there are too many gorgeous pictures posted online! =D And boy, the scenery was even prettier IN REALITY.
Then we started cam-whoring...
...non...
...stop...
LOL.
Nvr a big fan of Korean drama, so i don't really care who and what appeared on Winter Sonata, much unlike my dear Twin.
See, Twin seeking EVERY opportunity to replace the female lead whenever we see a Winter-Sonata poster with Bae Yong Joon. Oh, they were all my ideas actually. HAHAHA. Ops.
Twin having her caricature drawn by this supposedly-famous caricature artist, as seen by the many photos of him with Korean artistes placed at his booth.
Caricature artists seem to place emphasize/exaggerate a certain facial feature of a person whenever they draw and in this case, Twin has got such biggggg eyes =) After i saw that picture of her, i have decided to not get my caricature drawn because i forsee i will end up with a GIGANTIC nose since that's my prominent feature -_-'' haha.
Headed back to Chuncheon subway station in the late afternoon for early dinner. What is famous there? DAKGALBI (grilled chicken dish with vegetables and topped off with a spicy Gochujang Sauce)! And where to find this dish but Chuncheon's very own Dakgalbi Street!
There are sooooo many Dakgalbi restaurants along the street so we just settled for the one that was most crowded! Singaporean mindset. hehehe.
A huge pan of Dakgalbi!!
Just like Rabboki, rice was added towards the end of the meal and mixed together with the leftover chicken bits! Yum yum yum~
By the time we returned back to central Seoul, it was past 8pm so we went to DongDaeMun wholesale malls! =) Interestingly, these wholesale malls only open at night after 8pm and operates all the way past midnight. So while the rest of Seoul sleeps, DDM was buzzing with activity.
Supper at 2am in the morning =) Comfort food comfort food. Oh, and tuna rice roll is da bomb!
Okie dokie, back to preparing for the next Yventually launch ;)
Here's the song of the entry!
