HAPPY 100TH TO US AT YVENTUALLY!! So excited to be blogging about our 100th collection as it really shows how far my little online shop has come since i started it 3 yrs ago :*)
Have you seen our preview album on our FB page? https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.451078178320905.1073741834.129157470512979&type=1
Our Like n Share promotion is back on and we managed to get some of our past apparel online shops to sponsor us with e-vouchers so our giveaway this time round is going to be SO MUCH BETTER ;)
So where did we draw our design inspirations for the 2 self-manufactured bags this time round?
I first spotted models strutting down the Prada runway with these gorgeous "half-moon"-shaped clutches and was immediately drawn to these beauties =) This is actually the F/W 2013 runway show that i'm talking about right now, yup, talk about fashion-forward eh? haha.

Presenting to you, POPPY 3-way bag in Black/Beige/Red! My manufacturer took some time to find the ribbon charm after i requested for it and i was really really worried it wouldn't come out as nice as i have envisioned it to be. Thankfully, everything worked out fine and customers at my recent flea market were all thrilled to find the cute ribbon charm on these bags! =D
Practicality is key for all our self-manufactured bags, Therefore, I included in not only the handbag chain strap (so you can go for dinner dates!) and also a simple slingbag strap (crossbody bags are perfect for shopping trips!)
Here are the 3 ways to carry POPPY:
Being carried as a handbag (with the handbag chain strap)
With the adjustable slingbag strap
Carried as an oversized clutch
Decided to keep the red one for myself because i have so many bags in neutral color it's time to be adventurous this Spring/Summer 2013 ;) Besides, given its relatively smaller size, its red shade adds a pop of color to my outfit without being overwhelming!
For OLIVIA satchel, i drew my inspiration from the exotic skin handbag from Alice&Olivia seen here on bloggers from SeaOfShoes and CheetahIsTheNewBlack!
www.seaofshoes.com
www.cheetahisthenewblack.com
The original bags were actually made of exotic reptile skin and i decided to go for good quality synthetic leather instead so it's easier for you all to maintain the bag long-term ;) The PU leather we used for Olivia satchel is smooth and thick, and has this really classy feel to it which makes the bag look expensive at first glance.
A look at all our colorblock combinations:
Olivia satchel in MONOCHROME!
The color i kept and also my personal favorite colorblock combi =)
Olivia in MINT
Insisted on having the bag lined with black so the mint color will stand out. I think this bag allows one to match with both dressy and casual outfits and with white-colored outfits being all the rage this season, this mint bag will fit in nicely into your wardrobe of apparels for sure!
Olivia satchel in PINK
This is our model Elaine's favorite color combination! She was squealing with delight when i took out the bag for our shoot and immediately decided this will be the bag she wants to go home with that afternoon! haha. The yellow sun rays that day made it so difficult to capture the real color of the bag so please refer to our color chart and studio pictures for a better depiction of the actual shade alright!
Elaine carrying her Olivia satchel on her off-days! So chic and pretty right!! =) More pictures can be found on her blog: www.joyfulskies.blogspot.com too!
And last but not least, Olivia satchel in full BLACK!
An alternative if you are not a fan of color-block accessories (why why why?? =P), this bag was also a huge hit among the customers who dropped by our flea market 2 weeks ago! Needless to say, a black bag would be the most versatile of the lot and a safe choice for those who just needs a practical bag for work/school =)
Have you decided what to get at 9pm later on www.yventually.com? Hope this entry helped in one way or another! I'm still in disbelief that this is going to my 100th collection on Yventually but i am ever so thankful for customers (that's you!!) for supporting this small little shop of mine!! Maybe when i have more time on hand next week, i will do an entry on the Yventually journey thus far ok? hehe.
Ending this entry today with a picture of E and I after our long shoot that afternoon:
My pretty model (who still looked lovely after being under the sun for 2hours. unbelievable!! haha) and me (yea, minimal makeup, messy hair, tired soul. don't judge. LOL)
Until next time~
