Been looking for a French restaurant that offers more affordable food so i quickly suggested Poulet, Bugis Plus when Jun and my original plan to dine at Carpenter and Cook was cancelled due to their short Christmas hiatus. There is always a long Q when i passed by this casual French dining restaurant so there we were on a Friday evening, checking out the hype!
French Onion Soup!!
Haven't had one since my Paris days so i was thrilled seeing it on the menu ;) Though it's a tad salty, it still tasted delicious. Could be bigger in portion maybe? (yes, im a glutton. haha)
The highlight for the evening - Poulet Roti (half chicken)
Tender and succulent half chicken in mushroom cream sauce. This is a dish that lives up to my expectations. So so yummy *thumbs up*
The Tiramisu came next. Prepared in a jar, this was the dessert seen on most tables that day since it was marketed as one of their must-try. Although Jun and i shared this, the portion's actually quite big! Not the best tiramisu i've eaten but still good enough to satisfy our tummies ;)
The Q was so long when we finally left Poulet, possibly due to the fact that it was on a Friday night. So do go early if you can!! =)
-----
The night ended with coffee from Tiong Bahru Bakery. Can you imagine we even ordered a slice of their Pandan Flan to accompany our drinks even though we just had dinner? *shakes head* hahaha.
The pandan flan was....WEIRD =/ Tasted more like pandan-flavored egg tart, shaped like a cheescake-in-disguise. lol.
That's all for now. Have a good week guys. I should be on my work trip by the time this is being published so hurrays to more bags!!! =P
Until next time~
