Aye Aye Captain

Hola! I have been in "hiding" for the past 2 days after my eye surgery and im frustrated most of the time because my double vision is making me nauseous and i can't go NOWHERE due to my swollen eye =(

It's funny how when i cancel gatherings and appointments with my close friends after i confirmed my surgery date, their first reaction were normally "Lasik ah? Or go make double eyelids?" Hello my dear friends, i have perfect eyesight and though i do have puny eyes, i have double eyelids can? lol. After a few years of contemplating, i finally decided to go ahead with the corrective squint surgery because it seems to worsen over the past few years due to prolonged hours in front of the computer. Besides, the more conscious i became of my problem, the more i dislike taking pictures and it really upsets me that while other girls of my age look so pretty in their self-taken pictures, i can never do the same because my right eye cannot focus at certain angles. It's so hard explaining to my friends that at certain angles, my right eye will "float" and while everyone looked happy and pretty in the pictures, i always end up looking...weird. Oh wells.

I was not very nervous until i got pushed into the surgical waiting room where you see everyone in their surgical hoods, getting ready for various surgeries about to happen in all the operating theatres. That was really when i felt the most vulnerable though this is actually my second time under full GA for a surgery. I guess the outcome of the surgery is really what worries me the most. =/

After 2 hours of surgery and a couple more hours of resting, im out of the hospital! =) Glad i didn't puke my guts out, unlike my bro when he undergone the same surgery when he was much younger, and the wound didn't hurt one bit so i could stay off all painkillers prescribed.

Aye aye Captain!

And yup, donning my H&M sunnies for the past few days and totally act yi ge at home. HAHAA.

Went for my eye appointment the next day with my bloodshot right eye. So eww.

Bunch of eyedrops, cleansing serum, cotton wool and eye patches for the next week =(

It's still a long route to total recovery as my right eye is now having trouble adjusting to its new alignment, leading to my current double vision situation. Doctor said it could take weeks for both eyes to align since i was so used to solely depending on my left eye for the past years before the surgery. Sigh. Keeping my fingers crossed i guess.

Until next time! I promise next post will be a happier one with the behind-the-scene post for our next manufactured bag ok!!! =)

Take care everyone!
