CHARLY T's
Met the girls for our usual gathering at Charly T's! Went there a while ago with the poly girls but Steven told me they made some changes to the menu so i decided to pop by once agn =)
This restaurant is managed by a gym friend of mine, Steven, and he has really put in loads of effort in maintaining it since its opening last year so i just had to show my support! What's more, they serve good food!
Oh, it's situated between P.S and The Cathay, perfect dinner place for the weekends eh!
Oh, say Hello to my handphone holder =) My only gift for myself from HongKong Disneyland. I have had mixed comments about the Stitch (yes, it's STITCH. in case you haven't realised) stick-ons. Well, girls love it, while guys.....think im a bimbo -__-"
Ops, back to dinner. We ordered Charly T's Famous Rotisserie Half Chicken (that comes with 3 sides and different sauces of our choice), Carne Asada BBQ Beef Skewers and Honey with Figs and Dates waffles!
Our sauces, which YL called "the mini traffic light" due to their colors. haha. We picked Charly T's original sauce, Chermoula sauce and Chimichurri sauce out of the many sauces they had! If you like your sauces sour (LIKE ME!!!), Chimichurri is THE sauce to pick! =)
Their honey figs waffles is TO DIE FOR. I introduced it to all my friends and everyone loves it! the PERFECT dessert. Honestly, i wouldn't mind dining at Charly T's just for this waffles =) Coming from someone who doesnt like desserts, you just have to try it. heehee.
LET'S SWEETS outing
Met up with my sec school dearies last Sat and everyone in the group came down!!! It's sooo hard to organise outings for big groups like ours but kudos to WQ =) She's the best organiser everrrrrr.
Since it was a belated bday celebration for Wendy, we made her pick the eatery outlet! haha. And in the end, we went to Let's Sweets buffet restaurant at Bugis Junction.
LOOK AT THE QUEUE!!! siao loh.
It took us a good 40 minutes before we were told to go in but WQ wasn't here yet and the sign says...
T.T Apparently, they use a TIMER to time you for your 1-hr buffet and if you stay longer than the scheduled timing of 60mins, you have to pay extra!! So we waited for another 45mins before WQ came and we could enter the restaurant. i was famished by then!! =(
Once we got seated down, the timer started counting dwn from 60minutes!! I forgot to take a pic of the small timer, but that small thing really placed a lot of stress on us!! i mean, can u imagine eating with a ticking clock beside you all the time? *Stress max*
I was hoping there are more food counters and all..but i guess people come here mainly for their desserts? Anyhows, food pics!
Their main dishes consist of mainly Western-Japanese fusion cuisine! Think pasta, omelete, omu-rice and Japanese curry! I tried abit of everything and i liked their Jap Curry (see above) best! Sweet and thick, very Japanese-style!
Now for desserts:
Their biggest selling point for this lunch buffet got to be their SWEET CREPES! i chose the chocolate-banana sweet crepes, that comes with a BIGGGG scoop of Vanilla ice-cream. The BEST dessert dish of that day. lol.
Like i say, im really not a dessert person so most items i picked are the least sweet items on the display counters. lol. Their black sesame moose, souffle cheesecake and green tea moose suit me best! Not too filling, and most importantly, not too SWEET.
Here's the Da Wei Wang of the day:
LOL. SY was still eating when all of us gave up after the 50th minute!! haha.
And WQ's "art piece" made up of unfinished desserts:
=)
Group pic to end our lunch!
