Behind-the-scene: Collection 101

Hello hello~

I am back with a Behind-the-Scene post on our upcoming manufactured hobo bag, aka Cherie hobo! ;) If you know me personally, you will know that there is this hidden side of me that secretly loves everything cool and edgy. From leather jackets to studded accessories, I love things that exudes funk and maybe even a little bit of punk/grunge. Hence, when i first laid eyes on the Moonstruck hobo by Rebecca Minkoff, i was blown away!

However, i was, once again, deterred by the hefty price tag and hence decided i shall manufacture something similar on Yventually instead!! =) This is how CHERIE was born:

As you realise, I have chose to remove all the studs details on the front flap of the bag because not only will it add on to the overall weight of the bag (i hate heavy bags too!!!), i understand that there are ladies out there who wanted something funky and edgy, but in a more subtle manner. ;)

Available in 3 very very versatile shades: Black, Cream and Oxblood!!

Picking Cream was a no-brainer. The way the cream color matches with the rose-gold hardware was a match-made in heaven! hee.

We have received numerous requests to bring Oxblood back as it has been well-loved by customers who owned our Monroe handbag so upon discussion with the supplier, we both decided this design would go perfectly with this dark red shade and boy, it was purrrrrrrrrfect!

It is extremely important to work with like-minded manufacturers/suppliers because they always bring in new ideas so we could keep improving on the quality of the product. For Cherie, the moment my manufacturer told me how she made the shoulder strap not only adjustable but also detachable, i was sold! haha.

As you can see from the closeup pic above, the leather we used this time round has a grainy texture which i thought was more suitable for a cool design like Cherie! ;)

We are honored and happy to work with blogshop giant, The Tinsel Rack, this time round as Joyce and Jolene very kindly sponsored their Blaze Denim Jackets and 10% discount codes for our FB Like&Share promotion!! So yay to better giveaways for you guys!! hehehe.

If you are wondering what color i kept this round, it's BLACK!!! It was hard to make a decision because all 3 colors are so pretty =/ The last time i kept a bag in the darkest shade of the color spectrum was the Esther bucketbag so i thought it's time to go back to good ol' black !

Hope you guys enjoy this entry! BTS entries are always a joy to write as it allows me to explain how each and every manufactured design is translated from paper to reality =) We are currently working on Fall/Winter designs so if you have any great designs you want us to take note of, do drop me an email at yventually.sales@hotmail.com ok!

Don't forget our FB Like&Share promotion will end tonight so here's the link again:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.462441970517859.1073741836.129157470512979&type=1
