Korea Lovin'

Haven been a diligent blogger these days =( Spending close to 10hours in the lab each day, slogging to no results is a plain torture. And my only motivation these days comes from meeting friends and theBF for dinner after a long day in school. To see familiar faces over even a simple meal like dinner keeps me sane, so here's another Food&Friends post =)

The need to relive our Korean days was so strong twin, YL, CL and i opted for Korean cuisine for our meetup once again!!! haha.

HYANG TO GOL Restaurant, Amara Hotel!!

It's not hard to guess who's working and who's still stuck in school (me/CL) just by the way we dress. haha.

The Menu =)

The hot pot we picked - Spicy Assorted Seafood!

Still amazed at the wide variety of side dishes/appetisers that are served before each Korean meal. Love love LOVEEEEE those beansprouts!

Spicy pork (or is it chicken? oh dear, my Alzheimer's at it again -_-)

The not-very-yummy-looking Kimchi Pancake that tasted HEAVENLY!!!

Our giant seafood hotpot~

Oh and how can my Korean meal not be completed without Rice Wine ;)

And a group photo (taken under badddd lighting.)!!

This restaurant has been Twin's favorite and seeing so many Koreans patronising it confirm its authenticity too! If you are not on a budget, this would be a good place to dine!

Oh, and since we are on the topic on Korean food, i want to recommend my new found love for Korean maggi mee =D

Got this off a Korean store (Sol Mart, Tampines One) one day when i simply had no idea what to buy for dinner. I can't read Korean characters for nuts so i picked the instant noodles with English words that i recognise - OTTOGI Ramen Bokki!

Totally totally remind me of that yummy Rabboki i had at Edae when i was in Korea =)

Comes with 2 sauce satchels...

Pour out the hot water after 10mins (Ramen bokki is meant to be eaten dry!)

Mix everything well...

TA-DAH, good to eat!!

It's a little spicy but really addictive =D They have it in a bigger bowl but i feel you'll tend to get a little sick of the sauce after a while so a big bowl's too much for me. Perhaps with some additional ingredients thrown in (meatballs, crabsticks?), the big bowl will be a better choice.

Alrighty, that is all for now! Imma go bathe, put on a mask and get ready for NUS SCIENCE D&D tonight! Barely know any pageant contestants but i'm gonna be there for the food and Uni friends =) Ah Cheong, why chiu no go?!! =P

Until next time~
