Being exhausted from our day trip to Damyang, we spent 3rd day in Seoul =)
Where did we go?
Ewha Womans University (Edae)!!
Unlike our local universities (where they are located in boring parts of the West. Yawns.), this University is surrounded by trendy apparels/bags/shoes shops, not forgetting some of the coolest hangout cafes in Seoul. I swear i'll did love going to school more if NUS is like that. haha.
Main street branches out into many many alleys (packed with restaurants/cafes/shops!!)
Once again, our dear 'GPS', YL, brought us to her favourite lunch outlet. Unfortunately, they don't have an English name so after much staring at the Korean characters in a picture i took, i gave up. Sorry =/
We had RABBOKI (Spicy Stir Fried Korean Rice Cake + Ramen).
Interestingly, the huge pan looked like this when it was served...
But after 10minutes of stirring and heating over the hot pan, it became this:
Imagine ramen noodles, rice cake, egg, vegetables, fish cakes soaked in tomato+chilli sauce ;)
And when you finally finish the HUGE bowl of Rabboki, the waiter will appear once again with ANOTHER BOWL OF RICE!
We left the shop with giant "carbohydrate tummies" HAHA.
Rest of the afternoon was spent shopping around and chilling. There is this unspoken "chilling" culture in Seoul so cafes are in abundance, each with their own style. Too many to choose from, if you ask me ;)
Hurried back to Myeong Dong to purchase tickets for the famous NANTA percussion show. Afterwhich, we looked around for dinner. Food played such an important role throughout our trip you'll find. hahaha. GLUTTONS, we are~
Ginseng Chicken Soup and Braised Chicken. The soup was a disappointment but the well-marinated braised chicken made up for it! =)
Nom nom nom...
Time for NANTA!
Awesome choreography and entertaining plot!! Must-watch show in Seoul!!! It's a really "touristy" activity but well worth the time =)
Supper at Red Mango outlet with this ENORMOUS bowl of yogurt~
Told you, ENORMOUS's the word.
Seoul is such a tech-savvy place as 8 out of 10 cafes provide FREE WIFI. We are slaves of technology (and iphone) =P
Ending our night with purchases from Krispy Kreme for breakfast the next day.
GLAZED DONUTS ftw *smacks lips
Song for this entry :
Lonely - 2NE1
Until next time~
