Long post today before i leave for the LAND OF SMILES aka Bangkok tml with my dear friends!! So mad excited because i've been restraining myself from doing any shopping for the past 3 weeks~ So for today's post, just sit back, relax (and salivate at any food porn collages, if any) and smile!! haha.
Xmas Eve
My Xmas eve was spent at Yan Palace, HongLim Complex. It's a really authentic chinese restaurant that serves dimsum to satisfy the cravings of Michelle's because she's been "held up" in Auzzie-land for a tad too long =P
Some of the dim-sum we ordered. The most interesting dish being the "banana fritters with PRAWNS"! It tasted like a queer combination of sweet and salty. Sh and Sally loved them, though it's my least fave dish that day. I'm more of a sweet/sour person eh. haha.
Food tasted alright in my opinion, but the company was awesomeeeee. Having Mich back with us during our outings once again has never been better =) It beats talking to her on MSN hands down for sure! ;)
Xmas Day
My jolly Xmas started with a family gathering at my grandma's. Till now, Im still amazed at how Mum kept everyone in the family together despite the loss of my granny for years. She never fails to gather everyone at granny's every weekend (i repeat: Every weekend.) and i guess that's how the family remained a close-knitted one. It's the same over at my paternal side and many times, i feel proud to tell people how everyone in the extended family has been there for one another in so many occasions. I've never been close to my mum but this quality of hers is something I've never fail to recognise.
Ok, back to my Xmas gathering. haha. Pizzas, chicken wings, tzi cha were part of the menu that day, filled with the shoutings of the kids. I felt old that day. hahaha.
All the kids were overly-excited about the lucky draw Mum came up with but were only left disappointed when they realised despite the differences in the gift sizes, they all contained the same Xmas gift - water bottle for the new school term. HAHAHA. Much thanks to my "superb" wrapping skills, everyone was tricked =P
Rushed home to rest before mtg theBF and his gang for a Xmas steamboat dinner! The pictures said it all =)
Did you enjoy urself this Xmas? I love this festive season!!
Until next time~
