A Shot of Espresso

How often do you meet your other half? Due to my schedule and theBF's busy school timetable, Saturday is usually our one and only "pat tor" day, which also means the day i look forward to all week long =) We were feeling lazy after our weekly gym session a few Saturdays ago so we randomly picked a cafe on my "to-visit-one-day" list (yes, i really do have a list =/) and off we went, to find a cozy cafe to spend our Saturday together!

The Coffee Shot, 103 Lavender Street
Located at the intersection between Cavan Road and Lavender Street, it is quite a distance away from the nearest mrt station (Lavender MRT). However, with so many other cafes like The Tiramisu Hero, Chye Seng Huat and Windowsill Pie cafes in the close proximity, this place is thus a suitable candidate for those looking to cafe-hop within the area ;)

Relatively quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Love it!

Honey Con Leche
Honey, Espresso, Steamed Milk, and a layer of Milk Froth
Found under their "Specialty Coffee", i was attracted by the word 'honey' under its description initially which explains why i didn't stick to my usual cappuccino. Was pleased surprised by the unique taste of the coffee as it leaves a fragrant honey aftertaste after each sip =)

TheBF went with his usual cappuccino.

And the highlight of the day - Otah Pizza
It was really a fortunate stroke of serendipity that we chanced upon this yummy thin-crusted pizza. Since we were not hungry, we wanted to order something to share instead of ordering from their all-day breakfast menu. Being fans of otak-otak, we were a little skeptical of this chinese-western fusion dish initially. Well, turns out it was really delish!! The otak-otak had a distinctive aroma and on the overall, the pizza was addictive yet not too filling. Too perfect! =)

A laid-back Saturday well-spent at a new cafe hideout with the best company. Oh what a wonderful Sat =)

Until next time guys!
