Pu Tien, 你吃了吗?

A few weeks ago when theBF came back from his Genting trip with his buds, he decided to give me a treat! And the first restaurant that came to mind was...

PU TIEN!

I was, then, still very much addicted to Pu Tien's lor mee and read a couple of reviews on their lunch buffet over at their City Square Mall outlet so on my free school day, we went to the VERY ULU shopping mall at Farrer Park for our lunch buffet! =)

Before we ordered the main dishes, they served us with some appetisers which, erm, tasted weird? The unagi was kinda hard and all. In the end, we left them untouched n went ahead with ordering our ala-carte dishes!

First up, the Braised Duck Soup and Abalone came!! The duck soup was FABulous with a capital F!!! Too bad it was a one-time-order (above 2 items mentioned are one-off items) because i would love another bowl. teehee.

Then the rest of our dishes came...Warning: Food Porn Ahead =)

Sweet & Sour Pork with Lychee (Delicious!)

Stir Fried Deer Meat (So-So~)

Asparagus with Mackerel Fish Cake in XO sauce (Yeah for Asparagus, not a big fan of fish cakes though)

Deep Fried Pig Trotter (LOVEEEE it. well, i love fried pig trotter of any sorts. hee)

Chilli Mussels (Not too bad..except that many of the mussels remained unopened??)

Lor Mee ( Ah, my FAVE. You are looking at their usual $6 share at their normal ala carte restaurant. Enormous portion indeed! theBF don't like it as much as I did, so u can imagine how much i ate that day. haha)

From left: Stir Fried Yam (Love how it's sweet on the outside and soft on the inside! But it would be better if it comes in smaller bites), the "Golden Flower" Fish (theBF loved this dish! Crispy exterior, yummy yummy yummy!!)

We ordered a shrimp wanton soup towards the end but i was really disappointed to find the wanton's skin to be as thick as the Great Wall of China -__-" ok, mebe not THAT bad, haha, but you get the drift.
All in all, a good lunch with my fave lunch partner =)
Until the next one~!!!
