Coming up on Yventually....

Been extremely quiet over at Yventually and here because my exams have started officially and im drowning myself in the piles of notes i have left untouched throughout the entire semester T.T

Anyhows, been contemplating if i should post preview pics here or over at Yventually's official blog but since actual stocks have yet arrive and I'm still sieving through sample pieces, i decided these non-official pictures (mostly taken using my pathetic iphone cam) would be more suitable here!

If you are a follower of my Twitter, you would have seen this picture already! =) A Thakoon-inspired satchel that got me really really excited this afternoon! The previous sample piece i received in black a month ago left me worried that this design might not be feminine enough as a lady's bag but the gorgeous combination of sweetpink and light cream changed my mind!

Everyone seemed rather concern over this color combination because my iphone camera made it look like a "dirty" bag with an ugly yellow tinge -___- It's so pretty in real life, i swear!!

As with all sample pieces, changes got to be made to perfect the design~ So in case you are wondering "WHY SO BIG?!", im reducing the satchel's size to that of our Alexa bag! Fits all A4 documents but in such cute handy size perfect for all occasions =)

Any other color combinations you all are DYING to see? Leave a comment and i'll did consider! hee.

Next up: The MAJOR decision i made today to go ahead with the manufacturing of this D&G-inspired wedges. I talked to so many people yesterday, gathering opinions and whatnot just to see if it's going to be worth it going heads-on with another BS giants with this design. A good look at the sample piece today made me feel that the design is worth investing and it's not all that similar actually =) A push by my supplier and a really sweet customer on Twitter did help me too! haha.

Mad loving the "wrapped up" side design because i feel it really adds class and elegance to this already pretty design! =D Too bad the manufacturer got the height wrong (still a little too tall to my liking) so we are gona send it back for another sample piece to be made~ 3.5inches would be the ideal height in my opinion! If nothing goes wrong, we'll have the Black piece in SUEDE to add that lush factor. Black, suede, sexy design...best combination...IF NOTHING GOES WRONG, that is.

I'm definitely keeping NUDE on my list of colors to pick so hopefully there is a prettier shade of nude in the color palette (which i haven't seen). Fingers crossed*

Lastly, heart-shape cutout pumps~! This is the 2nd sample piece i've seen and the heart shape is starting to look more refine! Both my supplier and i agreed the heart plays such an important role in this design we will perfect it no matter how many sample pieces we got to make =D So glad someone shares my opinion while picking designs and all.

Hence, rest assure i will have the heart shape in a more satisfactory shape before i give my stamp of approval! Oh, pls ignore the color. hahaha. It's actually nude, peach nude, light grey and champagne gold on our chosen color palette ;)

That's all for now! Hope this teaser will make up for the long hiatus on my blog :P Hopefully we'll see actual real stocks by June and may the upcoming months be exciting ones!

Until next time!

Bag-a-Thought - MiuMiu Miniature Bagcharms

Miu Miu Miniature BagCharms from Spring/Summer 2011

If they aren't the most adorable accessories in the whole wide world (at the moment), i don't know what is ;)

I think they will look perfect hanging on a simple tote bag, no? If not, imagine the "Ooohs" and "Ahhhs" you will receive when you take out that bunch of keys from your bag in front of your friends (i'll be one of them. haha)
If you can't afford a Coffer then perhaps these cute bagcharms/key holders are the closest you can ever get.
Price? A hefty S$610 though

Not willing to part with your money? You can consider these too:

Petale bag charms from Collection 60 of Yventually.livejournal.com!

HAHAHHA. No, im not trying to advertise blatantly :/ Ok, maybe i should dig a hole and hide now. lol.

Yet another Bag-a-thought entry~ Until next time!

Tepak Sireh

Another round of halal food hunting with Sam, Nisha and SH to celebrate Sam's belated birthday!

Nisha recommended this Malay restaurant near Sultan Gate/Arab Street which is apparently a popular spot for Malay weddings/functions! So off we went to...

TEPAK SIREH restoran!

We told Sam we have booked the entire buffet hall just for him because....the place was REALLY quiet that night. We were the only diners, except for this couple at the other end of the dining hall =/

Oh, it's buffet btw. We each paid $20 NETT for the standard dinner buffet, comprising of 8 main dishes, topped with some local malay desserts, kuehs and small ice cream tubs!

A short performance to start off the night!

The whole ambience made us feel like we were the guests of some Malay weddings, just that this time round, there is no bride and groom. haha. The good thing about aOp relatively empty restaurant is the full attention you get from the waiters there! Our cups were constantly filled with fruit punch and plates were cleared regularly =D i like!

Alrighty, until next time!

Ops, I realise i blog more halal restaurants than any other chinese bloggers i know of. hahaha. See Nisha, it's all because of you! :P

Eye Candy

Just spent the past 3 hours editting pictures and preparing for Yventually's launch tomorrow! I'm still half way through but i really need to take a break because i've been pushing myself to churn out write-ups after write-ups for each bag. Im trying my best not to have one writeup similar to the other as i really want to bring out the beauty of each item in our collection =)

Instead of staring at pictures of myself modeling the bags, i've got a prettier girl to look at this time round to find inspirations for my write-up! Yes, i found a new model for Yventually and she's DAMN PRETTY!

Had her over to my home studio for a trial photoshoot last week and the pictures turn out, as expected, gorgeous =) Meet Su Ann:

I like how she's spontaneous and enthusiastic throughout the whole shoot, not to forget her bubbly character =) She really makes me look like a really pathetic model for my shop. HAHAHA.

Do you like our new model too? I don't know if i can afford to have her every collection but i'll definitely try ;) It's always good to have an eye candy to ogle at while browsing through our bags/shoes designs, don't you think? hehehe.

Alrighty, back to editting pics. Don't forget, Yventually is launching tomorrow (Wed) at 2pm sharp! See you all!!

Love, from R&Em

Remember my entry on R&Em bags? Gor gor came home from San Francisco yesterday with my bags!!! *squeals of delight*

He managed to get a discount on the items so i paid a little lesser than what was stated online =)

Never bought from Macy's but i was expecting the plastic bags to be of better quality. haha. Well, i mean i paid over US$100 for the bags? =/ haha.

Presenting to you...R&Em's Woodstock satchel and Gig crossbody bag in BLACK!

Verdict upon seeing the bags in real life? N.O R.E.G.R.E.T.S =D

I was a little skeptical about the quality of the faux leather used because the bags do appear a little flimsy on Macys.com but they are actually of good quality faux leather with really pretty rose-gold hardware!!

Honestly speaking, this is the FIRST time I'm willing to splurge on a "branded" bag and i doubt this will happen again any time soon with my "not so optimistic" bank account (i made payment for the upcoming self manufactured shoes & bags lately and let's just say poor is an understatement). However, this purchase is of satisfactory *thumbs up*

Alrighty, it's time i start reading my notes for the test next week. Wish me luck~

Until next time!
