You are, the Only Exception

Was half-editting photos for the upcoming Yventually launch and half-streaming Glee online but i just had to spend 10 mins here to share with you my favourite song in this Britney episode =)

Surprisingly, it's not a Britney song although Heather Morris's choreo blew me away and did u see her abs? To. Die. For. =)

My favorite song:
The Only Exception - Paramore

When I was younger
I saw my daddy cry
And curse at the wind
He broke his own heart
And I watched
As he tried to reassemble it

And my momma swore that
She would never let herself forget
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love
If it does not exist

But darling,
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

Maybe I know, somewhere
Deep in my soul
That love never lasts
And we've got to find other ways
To make it alone
Keep a straight face

And I've always lived like this
Keeping a comfortable, distance
And up until now
I had sworn to myself that I'm
Content with loneliness

Because none of it was ever worth the risk

Well, You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

I've got a tight grip on reality
But I can't
Let go of what's in front of me here
I know you're leaving
In the morning, when you wake up
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream

Ohh---

You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception
You, are, the only exception

And I'm on my way to believing
Oh, And I'm on my way to believing

Finn to Rachel: "I'm gonna throw a touchdown in our first game and point to you in the stands, so everyone in the school knows you're my girlfriend"

iPhone Cam Apps I Love (for now)

Recently, i got myself an iPhone 4!!! =)

If you know me personally, you would have known how much i would like to get a BlackBerry because of their keypad but after considering the fact that the Apple apps are gona be of much use to me, i crossed over to the "Dark Side" lol.

I got my phone at <$150 including a new microSIM card because i ported over from M1 to Starhub and thus enjoyed a $100 rebate as well as a 20% monthly discount on my phone bill because i have some bundle packages!! =)

The disadvantages? The start of LOUSY Starhub customer service (believe me, i have encountered too many hiccups) Oh wells.

Anyhows, i wana show you my new iPhone cover, courtesy of theBF!!

How adorable is that!!! My fave purple and the cutest paw prints =) All you people that have been laughing at my previous (free cheena-fied) iPhone cover, SHUDDUP! =P haha.

And as the never-ending apps downloading begins, i found some of the coolest camera apps that i want to share with you guys!

First up:

Found this apps by chance and it's by far the most fun camera apps i've downloaded! (Also because it's free, and im a cheapo. haha.)

I love this app because within 5 mins, i could turn this:

into this:

And i also used it on a photo i took of my Ninja:

HAHAHA. Mad cute right! It's really simple! Just by using my fingers to manually crop/resize the original pic! And i get to choose a whole range of backgrounds too!

I know, it's not PERFECT but good enough to create a good laugh! =)

And then there is this:

Polarize! It's one of the more popular camera apps so i think most of you guys have heard about it. Anyhows, im loving the vintage feel to it =)

Here's a rare pic of me, cam-whoring. haha.

Lastly, a new (freeeee) cam app Ema introduced me:

7 toy camera settings, 8 film settings and WHOLE LOT OF FUN =)
There are like so many film settings to choose from, i took a long time figuring out what's what. haha. Vintage, Mono, Vignetting etc etc!!

I first tried it while q-ing for the Bak Kut Teh with theBF at Song Fa, Clarke Quay! Kinda forget what effect i chose, but i think it's Vintage!!!

Then i got bored one day and started trying this app on my Undertaker keychain from those "balls" machine (talking about that, i wanted the EDGE keychain, NOT undertaker -_-" bad luck)

LOL. Undertaker just got fatter with my "fisheye" lens! HAHAHA.
So yup, these are the few apps i've been playing around with these few weeks!! Hope u like them too~~~
Until next time!

Food and Friends II

Hola~
It's the start of my term break and in the midst of all the studying that i've got to do (Mid Terms are usually killer papers), im looking forward to my many gatherings!! But before my pics start accumulating, i finally found some time to blog about my past meetups. Yes, another Food and Friends entry!!! =)

Gyu-Kaku with TP Clique
It's Jap BBQ buffet this time round with the girls with the recommendation of ZX! Silly me mistook UE Square as UNITED Sq at Novena so i actually arranged for us to meet at Novena MRT stn. Thank goodness i realised just an hour before our meetup to switch the dinner to the one at Chijmes because er... i don't know where the hell is UE Square =X

The waitress actually recommended the BBQ set for 3 and it turned out to be over $168!!! lol. So yea, we settled for the ala-carte dishes instead.

Before the food came, we made orders for warm water because the place was pretty chilly but the moment the waiter came with the "stove" (or whatever it's called), we switched our order immediately to ICED water because the stove was...
REALLY HOT. haha. The heat it was emitting was so intense we were perspiring alil? Food came shortly afterwhich!
Chicken bites, pork collar, pork slices. buttered asparagus (VERY nice btw!), Salmon, shitake mushrooms and a pot Kimchi soup!
And then we were handed this really small black satchels and to our surprise, it turns out to be something pretty innovative (AND hilarious)!

HAHAHA. "Baby bibs" for all of us!!!! =P Well, if you think this is dumb, i think otherwise! Because i actually did drop a piece of meat halfway through the bbq and my dress was "saved" by this black apron-lookalike. haha.

Dinner was pretty good with the tasty food but the price is a tad on the high side and as we didn't dare to order too much food due to the price, we ended up still a lil hungry when we left the place. HAHAHAA. But with such great company, i still have a greattt time. What more, i got to know one of Cheryl's biggggggggggest secret =P *coughs, michelle, coughs*

Genesis's Get-Together at Charly T's

Haven't met Genesis since last Dec in Sydney so i was uber excited when she came back to Singapore for a short holiday!
I call this get-together an "Eat With Old People" meetup because basically i was having dinner with everyone that is at least 8 yrs my senior?? haha. Amazing how a gym can bring us together and how some friendship bloom between a bunch of 30s and their "xiao mei mei" (MEEEE)

GEN and Me =) Her so-called "cheek to cheek" pose. haha.
Genesis insisted we each give her 3 kisses and Jie was scaring me with "oh, 2 on the cheeks and 1 on the lips loh" -__-" i almost freaked out. haha. I know this next photo is pretty blur but i HAVE to show you Vivi's stupid kissing pose! haha.
HAHAHA.

Steven was with us that day so the good thing is....HE GETS TO RECOMMEND ALLLLLL OF CHARLY T's YUMMY FOOD TO US!! =) We had quite an amazing spread that day. One of the BEST meals i had at Charly T's!

My drink of the night: Apple/Orange/Pineapple Fruit Juice
Side dishes! The Macaroni and Cheese is still my favorite! =) I asked for a second serving after the first one was pretty much finished by Jie and i. haha.

Negima Salmon Yakitori and Kalua Pork sticks! The pork dish was h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y!! Meat was really tender with just the right amount of fats. Totally my kind of dish! *smacks lips

Last but not least, my older group of friends who are always there for me when i needed advice and who always come up with the horniest conversations during dinner. LOL. i love them! =)

Until next time! =)

A Confession

I can't stand people who are insensitive about people's feelings, who talk without going through their brains. NO, no matter how OLD you might be and no matter how SENIOR you are, it gives u no reason to talk like this. Because whatever that comes out of your mouth, are like knives piercing through my heart. Have you ever spare a thought about my feelings? From issues about school to heart matters, have you ever thought those fucking sarcastic remarks make me feel like SHIT most of the times?

And i can't stand people who doesn't LISTEN. Seriously, God gave you EARS haven't he? Then LISTEN. If you have such a problem listening to people's ideas/thoughts, then dun ask in the first place. Old and forgetful is NOT a reason.

And i hate people who think they are right ALL THE TIME. People, including me, make mistakes. But we learn from our mistakes. we ADMIT we are wrong when people correct us. we APOLOGISE. we don't start blaming the people who kindly correct our mistakes, because that's wrong. And it just shows how high your so-called EQ is.

I dun care if 99% of the world respects you, as an elder sister, as a friend, as a senior and you tink I should do whatever you say, be it right or wrong, just so i can become part of the 99%. That's where you are WRONG. I stand on the side I think is right, on the side which goes with my beliefs in life and i dun give a damn who you are to me.

Mum, now do u know why our relationship has been so sour and rocky for the past 10 years?

Because you are all of the above.

LegoLand!!!!

Not the usual "i eat this i went out with who" blog entry today but i just had to show you some really cute pictures i found online!! =)

Was reading Joanne Peh's blog that day and she was talking about her recent obsession with legos! It kinda reminded me of an old friend who was really into legos in the past so i Google-d them and look what i found!!

*Gasp* An amazing model of the "Bird Nest" stadium of Beijing Olympics!!

Andddddd...the CUBE swimming complex from the Beijing Olympics too!

Then i found the next most amazing thing...

There's actually a LEGOLAND in California (and one in Germany or sumtin..)

And what's inside of this themepark you ask?

LEGOs laaaaaaaaah =P haha. Some pics i found on the lego models inside the park:

Last but not least...the main reason why i am so tempted to go LegoLand...

The EIFFEL TOWERRRRRRRR! I figured Paris will still be a very faraway dream so mebe the only way to fulfil my dream would be LegoLand. hahaha. ok, im still dreaming, ignore my nonsense pls.

Before i end this post, here's something for you BF.

Im sure you will find driving a LEGO Fire Engine quite amusing =P

Oh yes, do support Yventually's Collection 45 on Tuesday ok! 11am!!

Food & Friends

CHARLY T's
Met the girls for our usual gathering at Charly T's! Went there a while ago with the poly girls but Steven told me they made some changes to the menu so i decided to pop by once agn =)
This restaurant is managed by a gym friend of mine, Steven, and he has really put in loads of effort in maintaining it since its opening last year so i just had to show my support! What's more, they serve good food!
Oh, it's situated between P.S and The Cathay, perfect dinner place for the weekends eh!

Oh, say Hello to my handphone holder =) My only gift for myself from HongKong Disneyland. I have had mixed comments about the Stitch (yes, it's STITCH. in case you haven't realised) stick-ons. Well, girls love it, while guys.....think im a bimbo -__-"

Ops, back to dinner. We ordered Charly T's Famous Rotisserie Half Chicken (that comes with 3 sides and different sauces of our choice), Carne Asada BBQ Beef Skewers and Honey with Figs and Dates waffles!

Our sauces, which YL called "the mini traffic light" due to their colors. haha. We picked Charly T's original sauce, Chermoula sauce and Chimichurri sauce out of the many sauces they had! If you like your sauces sour (LIKE ME!!!), Chimichurri is THE sauce to pick! =)

Their honey figs waffles is TO DIE FOR. I introduced it to all my friends and everyone loves it! the PERFECT dessert. Honestly, i wouldn't mind dining at Charly T's just for this waffles =) Coming from someone who doesnt like desserts, you just have to try it. heehee.

LET'S SWEETS outing
Met up with my sec school dearies last Sat and everyone in the group came down!!! It's sooo hard to organise outings for big groups like ours but kudos to WQ =) She's the best organiser everrrrrr.
Since it was a belated bday celebration for Wendy, we made her pick the eatery outlet! haha. And in the end, we went to Let's Sweets buffet restaurant at Bugis Junction.

LOOK AT THE QUEUE!!! siao loh.

It took us a good 40 minutes before we were told to go in but WQ wasn't here yet and the sign says...

T.T Apparently, they use a TIMER to time you for your 1-hr buffet and if you stay longer than the scheduled timing of 60mins, you have to pay extra!! So we waited for another 45mins before WQ came and we could enter the restaurant. i was famished by then!! =(

Once we got seated down, the timer started counting dwn from 60minutes!! I forgot to take a pic of the small timer, but that small thing really placed a lot of stress on us!! i mean, can u imagine eating with a ticking clock beside you all the time? *Stress max*

I was hoping there are more food counters and all..but i guess people come here mainly for their desserts? Anyhows, food pics!

Their main dishes consist of mainly Western-Japanese fusion cuisine! Think pasta, omelete, omu-rice and Japanese curry! I tried abit of everything and i liked their Jap Curry (see above) best! Sweet and thick, very Japanese-style!
Now for desserts:

Their biggest selling point for this lunch buffet got to be their SWEET CREPES! i chose the chocolate-banana sweet crepes, that comes with a BIGGGG scoop of Vanilla ice-cream. The BEST dessert dish of that day. lol.
Like i say, im really not a dessert person so most items i picked are the least sweet items on the display counters. lol. Their black sesame moose, souffle cheesecake and green tea moose suit me best! Not too filling, and most importantly, not too SWEET.
Here's the Da Wei Wang of the day:

LOL. SY was still eating when all of us gave up after the 50th minute!! haha.

And WQ's "art piece" made up of unfinished desserts:

=)

Group pic to end our lunch!

We were in a rush to take the picture because the beeper in our timer has started beeping non-stop =X
Our next stop? KOI @ Illumaaaaaaaa~
And yes, long queue as usual -___-"
With time to spare, we started cam-whoring, oblivious to our surroundings and staring passerbys. HAHAHA.

Ok, tt's all for now~
